Kaboomania – A bomberman clone is coming to the Amiga and PC, Kickstarter soon! [Video Update]

When I was growing up there was a game I used to love playing with friends whereby your task was to drop bombs, and hopefully blow up other players in a maze like game screen. That game was none other than Bomberman also known as Dynablaster. A game which was actually first released way back in 1983 by Hudson Soft and then published by Konami. In fact the reason we are mentioning the game is at some point soon ‘Axel Friedrich – Fancy Factory’ will be launching a Kickstarter for Kaboomania. A Bomberman clone that is coming to the Amiga and modern systems

Here’s the full details. “Kaboomnia is a retro maze bomber in the spirit of 16 bit classics. An old school game concept reimagined for the most modern computer in the world: Amiga 1200 (and better) 😉. It is a new take on a classic concept, but mostly with new and fresh ideas. Beside A 1200 – the game will be released for PC and mobile – and most probably for all consoles. Experience fast-paced 128 color AGA action and blast your way through five worlds and 1000 (!!) levels! 💣. As an absolute special feature, Kaboomnia comes with a brand new, never heard before soundtrack by music legend Chris Huelsbeck (Turrican, Giana Sisters, Apidya, Katakis, and many more)! After more than 30 years, Chris’s music is finally back on the computer where it belongs – the Commodore Amiga. ”

Features:

  • 320×200 128 color pixel art
  • brand new soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck
